Bulawayo Vendors and Traders Association (BVTA) is part of the Safe and Inclusive Cities Project (SAIC 2.0) being implemented in Zimbabwe in two cities supported by Plan International Zimbabwe. In Bulawayo the project targets the high-density suburbs of Pumula and Makokoba while in Harare, Epworth, Mbare, Hatcliff, Stoneridge, Hopley and Chitungwiza high density suburbs. The overall desired change is for young women and men (age 15-24) living in the informal settlements and peri urban areas in Harare and Bulawayo grow up in safe and resilient urban communities that respect their rights and offer equal opportunities for all regardless of gender.
